    Connect CrackAndReveal once

    Add the server URL in your assistant and sign in with Google. A free account is enough.

    Describe the riddle

    “A 4-digit lock for Lea's birthday revealing where the gift is hidden.” The assistant confirms the code with you, then creates the lock.

    Share the link

    The link and QR code land in the conversation. Players open the lock on their phone, no account or app needed.

Installation

One address for every assistant. Paste it wherever your assistant asks for the URL of an MCP server or a custom connector.

Available from Claude's free plan.

  1. Open Settings → Connectors, then “Add custom connector”.
  2. Name it CrackAndReveal and paste the server URL.
  3. Click Connect: a CrackAndReveal page opens, sign in with Google and allow access.
  4. In a conversation, enable the connector and ask for a lock.

💬 ChatGPT

Through ChatGPT apps and connectors (developer mode) — until the directory listing goes live.

  1. Open Settings → Apps & connectors, then enable developer mode under advanced settings.
  2. Click Create, name the connector CrackAndReveal and paste the server URL; keep OAuth authentication.
  3. Confirm: sign in with Google on the CrackAndReveal page and allow access.
  4. In a conversation, pick CrackAndReveal among the apps and describe your riddle.

⌨️ Claude Code

In the terminal — Google sign-in opens in your browser.

  1. Run the command below.
  2. Type /mcp in Claude Code, pick crackandreveal then Authenticate.
  3. Ask: “Create a password lock for my team…”.

  1. Click “Add to Cursor” and confirm the installation.
  2. In Settings → MCP, click Connect next to crackandreveal and allow access.

🧩 VS Code (Copilot)

Requires the GitHub Copilot extension in agent mode.

  1. Click “Add to VS Code” and confirm.
  2. On first use, VS Code asks you to authorize the connection: sign in with Google.
  3. In Copilot chat (agent mode), ask for a lock.

Data processed and retention

The connector only acts on your CrackAndReveal account, with your explicit authorization. Here is exactly what flows.

  • ✓What the assistant sends — the lock name, the secret code, the content to reveal (text, link or video) and the settings of the chosen type. Nothing else is read from your conversation.
  • ✓What we keep — the locks, exactly like those created on the website, until you delete them; opening statistics; your e-mail address and language for the account.
  • ✓Access tokens — the assistant receives a token tied to your account (valid 1 hour, renewed automatically for at most 90 days). Tokens are stored hashed and never appear in our logs.
  • ✓No sharing — your codes and contents are never passed to third parties nor used to train models. The assistant only sees your own locks.
  • ✓You stay in control — revoke an application's access at any time from your profile, “Connected apps” section; it takes effect immediately.

Frequently asked questions

Is it free?

Yes. The connector works with a free account: unlimited locks and 30 cumulated player attempts. The Pro plan (€29 once, lifetime) lifts the attempt limit, removes the watermark and unlocks competition mode.

Which assistants are supported?

Any MCP client: Claude (web, desktop, Claude Code), ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code with Copilot, Windsurf and others. The server follows the standard MCP protocol with OAuth 2.1.

Is my secret code safe?

The code travels over HTTPS between the assistant and CrackAndReveal and is never shown to players. Don't paste it in a message meant for them: share only the link.

How do I disconnect an assistant?

From your CrackAndReveal profile, “Connected apps” section, click Revoke. The assistant will have to reconnect before acting again.

Can the assistant add an image or a sound?

Not yet: from an assistant, the hidden content is a text, a link or a video. For an image or a sound, open the lock in your dashboard — the edit link is returned with every creation.
